As you may know, my family lives in Michigan and it’s that time of year again where the sun hides and the snow flies! Today officially marks my kids 4th snow day for this school year and at this rate we may be in school till the end of July! As a kid snow days are the best, NO school, sleeping in and extra electronic time usually happens. For a parent, it’s always a little more stressful… as much as I love my kids, I also love for them to be in school!!
Today, to embrace the fun of a snow day, we are making SNOW ICE CREAM. It’s really simple and kids of all ages love it! I like to put a bowl out for fresh snow (about 1/2 gallon) and once that is collected all you need are these few ingredients:
1 can evaporated milk (12 ounces)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix other ingredients together and then add to the snow! Once you have made your ice cream, you can add anything… chocolate syrup, sprinkles, cookies pieces… Really there are not limitations!!!
Endless memories and yummy ice cream! Enjoy!
