Living in Texas in the summer is not only hot, it’s super hot!!! So over the last 6 weeks or so we have been finding ways to stay cool without a pool in our backyard.
- Splash pad – this adorable splash pad is so fun for little kids of all ages – probably up to about age 8. Depending on water pressure, the water shoots up to about 6 ft in the air, or you could keep it at just a few inches for your little one. Also, the “pool” part isn’t deep at all so it is safe to sit your crawler in, as well!
- Slip n Slide – one for the ages!! What you’d expect out of a slip n slide with some fountains on the sides and a small pool at the bottom to crash into!
- Inflatable kids pool with a bench and head rest – We love this pool! We even got a cover for it so the water can stay in a couple days at a time! (Link here) We use this pool up on the deck (we made sure it was sturdy enough to hold the weight!) which has been wonderful with a newborn and 2 year old. Ella can play in the pool while jack relaxes in the shade.
- Mister – In the Texas heat, we needed some relief if we were just sitting up and eating dinner. The mister was the perfect solution!! With adjustable intensities, it doesn’t get you too wet… unless you want it to!
We are an outdoor-life loving family, so these purchases have made our summer AMAZING!
